When doing research for Terrington St Clement, you will need to check both the Parish
Register and Archdeacon's Transcripts and possibly the Bishop's Transcript to have a most
complete coverage of this parish. This is due to several Parish Registers being water
damaged. The time period concern is from 1598 to roughly 1812
Item 1
Baptisms, Burials, 1598 - 1771 and Marriages, 1598 - 1753
This register is water damaged on each page near the spine of the book.
The damage covers half the page at the top graduating to a eighth or less at the bottom.
Item 2
Baptisms & Burials, 1772 - 1812
This register contains baptisms and burials back to back, so the baptism
are water damaged on each page at the top corner of each page near the spine and the
burials are water damaged on each page at the bottom corner of each page near the spine.
Item 3
Baptisms, 1813 - 1841 (1600 entries)
Item 4
Baptisms, 1841 - 1851 (800 entries)
Item 5
Baptisms, 1851 - 1902 (2400 entries)
Item 6
Baptisms, 1902 - 1924 (800 entries)
Item 7
Baptisms, 1924 - 1946 (800 entries)

Item 1
Marriages, 1754 - 1812
This register is water damaged on each page mostly affecting the top
quarter, but sometime half. It was helpful to have had the Archdeacon's Transcripts when
checking this record as some is unreadable.
Item 2
Marriages, 1813 - 1837
