1891 Census for Moulton
The transcript of the 1891 census of Moulton is © 2004 by Farne Hunt, All rights reserved.
This is a transcript of the entire 1891 Census for Moulton, which was transcribed by
Farne Hunt. I would like to thank Farne for sharing this wonderful resource. To be able to put the census information on this web site, I had to
reformat the data
in a way that allowed for all details for a particular individual to be shown on one line
within the borders of the page. The following was done to achieve this:
- How the census was originally enumerated, has been altered. A
enumeration guide appears below to show how it was originally enumerated,
thus helping to place neighbouring addresses together.
- Also appearing below is an index to such addresses.
- Abbreviations have been used for the columns for relationship to the head,
conditon, age & employment. The abbreviations appear below.
- When I came across a query or note in the transcripts provided by Farne, I have
put an asterisk in the field. This asterisk may indicate that Farne made a note, usually a
query on what had been transcribed. For those notes that I deemed important, I
have incorporated them in the Occupation column. If you were wondering what a
query was about, instead of contacting Farne or myself, it would be better to refer to the
actual census yourself. Please remember that this transcript has not been independently
check and may contain errors, so it must be considered as a research guide only.
- The File Number is a reference added by myself to allow an index to be
created.
To find an individual or family that is of interest you, use the links to the index
pages below. The File Number in the first column of the index will indicate
which transcript page to go to find the individual in question.
- The Transcripts pages are organised into sections, each section having a
range of File numbers in chronological order. At the start of each section
of the Transcript is found the Address & Enumeration District number. Within
each section of the Transcript are found sub-sections and at the start of
which are found the Folio number and the Page number. The columns in the
Transcript represent as follows:
- File Number.
- Schedule Number.
- Surname.
- Forenames.
- Relationship to Head of Household.
- Condition.
- Sex.
- Age.
- Occupation (Also including the Disability in original census or notes
from Farne).
- Employment.
- County of birth.
- Place of birth.
