would like to announce a new site and domain of mine. The idea coming
from this site. The new site is devoted to all the popular old
travel guides. Please visit
Old Guide Books. It gives a fascinating history of the
Baedeker publishing house and it competition with the rival
Murray' Handbooks. There is also a history of old Atlases.
This site Baedeker Old Guide Books will eventually be moved to
the new domain mentioned above, and in the process will receive
a overhaul in layout and style with additional pages. I will
correct some of the inaccurate information that is currently
given on this site. I will also have new old maps from one of
the Baedeker guides. I would also like this site translated into
Spanish and other languages. It's gaining a worldwide audience.
I plan on putting maps, for other places in Europe, Any help in
